This course provides practical guidance on selecting, operating, inspecting, and maintaining power tools safely, reducing the risk of accidents and reinforcing safe work habits. 

  • Identify common types of power tools and their specific hazards
  • Conduct pre-use inspections for damage or defects
  • Use tools in accordance with manufacturer instructions
  • Apply appropriate guarding and grounding methods
  • Select and wear correct PPE including eye and hearing protection
  • Keep work areas clean and organized to prevent incidents
  • Understand emergency shutdown procedures and incident reporting
