A Permit to Work system ensures that high-risk activities — such as hot work, confined space entry and electrical isolation — are carried out with full control and communication. This course trains Workers and Supervisors to issue, receive, and manage permits.

- Recognize different permit types (hot work, confined space, electrical, etc.)
- Complete and authorize permit forms accurately
- Conduct hazard identification and risk assessment for permitted tasks
- Define roles and responsibilities of permit issuer, receiver, and work crew
- Verify controls (e.g., isolations, PPE, monitoring) are in place before work
- Ensure proper closure, handover, and documentation of completed permits
